With people living longer and more people entering nursing and care homes later in life, we have seen an increase in the number of claims relating to nursing and care home negligence.
This negligence can result in physical and mental distress for a patient and can arise as a result of the following:
– Failure to mobilise a patient adequately resulting in bed sores
– Medication errors
– Physical and mental abuse
– Failure to notify healthcare workers of a medical condition
– Failure to monitor a patient with Alzheimer’s or Dementia
