Kathrina specialises in the area of medical negligence, advising and acting for clients who have suffered significant and often lifelong injuries. Kathrina has extensive experience in this area, and has litigated on behalf of clients in a vast array of medical negligence claims, to include birth injuries, cerebral palsy claims, acquired brain injuries, orthopaedic injuries, cosmetic injuries, general surgical injuries, fatal claims and dental injuries. Kathrina has also acted for a number of clients who were diagnosed with the sleep disorder, narcolepsy with cataplexy, after the administration of the swine flu vaccine, Pandemrix. In addition Kathrina has advised and represented families who have been affected by the loss of their baby at Portlaoise Hospital, arising from the Primetime Investigates exposure of tragic incidents in the maternity department of the hospital.
Kathrina has represented clients in the High Court and more recently in the Court of Appeal and has appeared for clients in the Coroners Court.
Kathrina understands and appreciates the emotional trauma that clients have endured as a result of medical negligence and therefore offers clients supportive specialist advice.
She has also gained experience in the area of professional negligence, in particular she has been involved in claims arising from the provision of negligent advice by accountants, engineers and solicitors.

Kathrina graduated from a University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree (BCL) in 2007. Kathrina was awarded the UCD Bank of Ireland Silver Award in European Union Law. She then completed a Masters in Law (LL.M) in Trinity College Dublin , graduating in 2008.
During her traineeship, Kathrina specialised in medical negligence.
She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland in 2014.
Kathrina joined Orpen Franks in February 2016.
